Literally only days prior to winning a James Beard award for journalism, my sister Rachel Wharton inteviewed us on Heritage Radio.
The interview was a blast! The station is based at Roberta's pizza in Brooklyn, which hosts an urban farm on its roof. We got to tour the farm, and munch on wood-fired margharita pizza and an incredibly delicious bibb lettuce salad grown on-spot.

Moving from a cob home to an older home covered in lead paint was a little bit of a shocker: going from the untarnished natural earth plasters to layers of peeling paint with toxic heavy metals in them falling in the yard hardly seems green or healthy.
